The food and beverage labels your company chooses for its products can do more than just advertise the contents: during the holiday season, they can entice buyers by bringing special features of their own. In the United Kingdom, Coca-Cola is trying something along these lines with a soda label that can transform into a bow in just a few quick motions.
As the Telegraph notes, the labels come with a little strip that pulls it into a distinctive gift wrapped-style bow shape. This novelty label capitalizes on the company’s association with the holidays, as they still have the same coloring and font as the traditional Coke labels. It will apply to different variations of Coca-Cola as well, including Diet Coke and Coca-Cola Zero.
That use of familiar colors in a new style may be key to this campaign, especially since the labels have reportedly caught attention on social media. Writing for Plastics Today, Kari Embree noted the way this limited branding experiment has gathered in popularity in these spaces.
“Many consumers are posting videos and pictures of their own Christmas bows and are calling for the packaging to jump across the pond since it is only available in the UK,” Embree writes. These special bottles were available starting at the beginning of December.
With a color label printer, businesses can expand their current marketing strategies to include new types of label materials and images. The result can be a growth in interest, as your business changes to meet the kinds of trends that fit the season. Experimenting with new stock types is one way to develop new types of label campaigns.
