This blog has reported on how many public figures will branch out into other business ventures, which often include creating their own wine label. As wineries are typically considered to be profitable ventures, many consider this avenue of business a viable one for those that have the capital to get it off the ground.
According to Huffington Post, at least 13 celebrities started their own beverage companies in 2012, with the most popular being vineyards. While, these individuals may already have a pre-sold audience based on their own persona, these products still require high quality, custom labels, which can be made with a Primera LX400 color label printer.
The source reported that both rapper Xzibit and movie star George Clooney created their own tequila brands. Fergie, a member of the pop group Black Eyed Peas, created her own wine called Ferguson Crest. Movie star Richard Gere created line of wines from Tuscany. Drew Barrymore also created her own brand of wines, as reported by this blog, that features a label designed by the well-known artist Shepard Fairey.
Also creating their own wine label was former Chicago Bears coach and football analyst Mike Ditka, along with his co-analyst Keyshawn Johnson, respectively. European football star Lionel Messi created a wine label as well, his custom label designs feature a jersey with his nickname “Leo” printed on it, as well as a soccer ball also featuring the moniker.
Whether an entrepreneur has a celebrity persona or just a great business model, it’s key that their product has an excellent label. This is especially true for new companies, as consumers may not have created an impression of that brand yet, making the product’s custom label the first interpretation of the brand that customers get.
