Optimedia Labs has offered BarTender software for label design and production for years, and now the company that produces it has announced new updates to this program.
In a recent press release, developers Seagull Scientific described the new edition of BarTender coming in 2016, which will allow companies to make various kinds of packaging elements, including GHS BS5609 labels, through a solution compatible with Epson ColorWorks printers. It also comes as an example of the business’ rebranding initiatives on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
With BarTender’s 2016 software, users will have features like the Print Portal and Visual Basic Scripting Editor, as well as resolutions as high as 64 bit. Previously, BarTender has allowed users to meet standards such as QR Code, GS1 DataMatrix and postal and shipping codes like USPS.
Business Solutions quoted the president of Seagull Scientific, Harold Boe, on the importance of the new version for the business and the brand.
“We are proud to mark our 30th year with our most significant BarTender version yet,” Boe said. “Since its introduction, BarTender has grown to become much more than label software or barcode software. And we are excited that BarTender 2016 provides the framework for bringing future innovations to our customers much more quickly.”
BarTender label software is also meant for use with other major name printers, such as Afinia and Primera, and can add to the versatility companies have for their entire product line. With software as flexible as this, companies can make everything they need to in a variety of different systems, such as Bar Code labels.
