OptiMedia Labs not only carries some of the best color label printers from Primera, we spotlight the new systems from this brand. The Primera LX2000 Color Label Printer capitalizes on some of the best qualities from previous models and adds faster product speed and pigment ink for high quality labels that print efficiently.
The company recently announced the new printer in a press release and listed some of its many features: it can print as much as 6 inches of label per second, can use wireless internet connections and accept labels formatted with Bartender Ultralite software. It can also accept vinyl, paper, polyester and polypropylene material, increasing the range of product label types users can choose from.
Another factor that makes the LX2000 versatile is the pigment ink, which is stored in four separate large ink cartridges in the device. Because it draws from different types of inks, not just the pigment-based ones, the LX2000 can produce labels meant for dry goods as well as packages that will be exposed to moisture. This means it’s equally appropriate for making labels for baked goods, produce, cosmetics and industrial chemicals.
In the release, Primera VP of sales and marketing Mark Strobel called this model “an entirely new product class” for label printing.
“We have pigment ink that has far more resistance to water, chemicals and UV light. Print quality is superb,” he said. “Add to that our wired Ethernet or USB 2.0 or wireless connection options, along with 8 [inch] print width and you’ve got everything most companies would ever need. With LX2000, there are only benefits and no compromises.”
