At the recent LabelExpo 2014 in Chicago, Epson announced its newest color label printer: the Epson TM-C7500. This printer, designed to go up against some of the top devices in the industry, is set to be the fastest desktop printer in Epson's catalog.
Although it isn't available until January 2015, users can read all about the Epson TM-C7500 on the Optimedia Labs website. With a maximum print resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi and a print speed as fast as 12 inches per second, it can be counted on for labels that are both detailed and produced in a timely fashion.
The printer, which costs $9,995, comes with other advantages as well. It is packaged with accessories like a sample label and a CD with the necessary drivers on it, as well as an Epson Depot Warranty for 1-3 years, depending on whether or not you order the available extended option.
The TM-C7500 also meets BS5609 certification for GHS labels, to continue making labels up to expected standards. It accepts labels that are 4 inches wide, and takes rolls that are up to 8 inches outside diameter.
Significantly, this labeling solution will be compatible with Windows and ZPL, offering high-quality label-printing power that doesn't require users to overhaul their systems. This is an important feature, as it means companies can simply upgrade black-and-white printers with this new model and save the money they might have spent on infrastructural changes otherwise.
