When you create custom printed labels for medicine, it’s critical to keep all legal regulations in mind. GlaxoSmithKline has had to deal with a recent lawsuit pertaining to their marketing materials which are said as having made false claims for their medicine.
According to a statement that appeared on the official website of California’s Department of Justice, the drug company is involved in a settlement that hinges on promises made on the packaging of two different brands of antidepressants and one asthma drug. The settlement totals more than $100 million and involves all but six of the United States, and the suit also contends that there were cases of bribery involved.
The ways in which a company is found to have defrauded a consumer are not simply limited to a claim that isn’t true: the statement outlines how GlaxoSmithKline, in addition to not being allowed to make deceptive claims anymore, will also called upon to prevent from skewed information from inadequate studies.
The BBC quoted from a representative of the company named Mary Anne Rhyne who asserted that these charges stem from the past, and that the company has changed since then and is no longer promoting this kind of aberrant behavior.
“These are historic matters – they relate back to the federal government settlement in 2012 so some of these events are as long ago as 14 years,” Rhyne said.
Your printing solutions should be enabled so that you can produce many labels on a high level, and the label software that you use should also be accessible enough to attend to problems within your marketing strategy.
