This blog has reported on the importance of a company’s product label. These are often what consumers will use to create first impressions of the brand and its image and can even be the subject of lawsuits and federal regulations. Businesses can also use them to create a brand identity, develop a niche in their industry and even support certain causes.
For example, many businesses will hire local artists to design their custom labels, which helps out the community and creates a unique brand that will pop-off the shelves. One wine company called Carita from Sacramento, California is combining this with an effort to support charitable organizations.
“Each year the Carita Wine labels are designed by DDSO artists [Developmental Disabilities Service Organization],” the company said in a press release. “Each of our three Short Center arts-based programs submit their best art pieces to the Wine Label competition.”
This year’s winners are designed by Brittany Garcia, Liz Markham and Rita Pasillas. Each of the winning pieces will be printed onto a custom wine label to be sold in stores. By creating this competition, Carita allows itself to take advantage of what a custom wine label can do to increase brand identity, but also doing so in a way that supports the surrounding community and creates an even more unique brand.
Whether a company creates its product labels through a competition, commissioning local artists, or designs them internally, using a Primera LX900 color label printer to create these labels will enhance the quality and efficiency of the process.
