North American meat distributors might want to investigate shipments to ensure that there are warnings and proper labels given that keep things healthy and safe, and reduce the chances that there might be some dangerous contaminant that will only be discovered later.
According to CNN, the Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency have determined that there was a presence of the bacteria Lysteria, which could lead to infections in certain cases. More than 109,000 items have been recalled by the company Reser’s Fine Foods, many of which are already past their expiration date.
A statement on the FDA’s website pointed out a special role that some food labels and related stickers can play with the right kind of foresight. The advisory directs consumers to look at the package that these affected products come in for a number that can be used to track them and make the correction process easier.
These labels include the date of production as well, another piece of information that could contribute to a successful campaign to prevent further health problems.
Because the recalled items span all different types of meat and even some other foods, like potato and pasta products that only contain some elements of meat, specificity continues to be important in making labels.
And even though there are no reports of infection from this outbreak yet, the breadth of distribution seen here, which includes 27 states, should make this a high priority.
With a color label printer, this information might be incorporated in a way that doesn’t distract or infringe upon the other designs that are most necessary for your commercial needs, and keep the populace safe as a result.
