Wine and liquor labels easier to apply with Primera systems

With a Primera LX900 label printer and related application tools, wine bottles can go from bare to ready-to-ship in a short period of time. Not all liquor and spirits are going to be in uniform bottle sizes or shapes, which means that producers should choose a printer that is adjustable to industry standards.

In a recent press release, Chiltern Valley Winery of Oxfordshire, UK, discussed the ways that the Primera LX900e has specifically helped them create the labels they need for their Old Luxters products, including Irish Cream and Winter Ale. The company turned to Primera products for a solution that was more efficient than the thermal printer that they had been reliant on.

The general manger of the company, Donald Ealand, explained in further detail why the Primera system has been a better choice. The label style employs a clean white background with stylized letters printed on it in different shades of dark inks to appeal to possible consumers.

“As well as being technically challenging, it was expensive to run the old machine, and it did not print colour easily as you had to change the ribbon each time,” he said. He also added that “the whole printing process is now much easier and, just as importantly, accurate. High quality colour labels are easily printable.”

Investing in a Primera printer, of course, also means you have access to the different durable and high-quality label stocks that they can process. High gloss, matte and other label types are compatible, and switching to them could notably improve the label design you employ. After you’ve decided to use this labeling system, you will be able to specify the design and watch labels applied seamlessly and regularly to all spirits brands.
