Revising your current food labels should help the public become more familiar with the ingredients your company uses. You might not have thought about this aspect of production explicitly, but the switch can be easy with a color label printer system that can correspond to the new brand identity.
A press release from the pasta sauce company Victoria Fine Foods denotes some of the changes that are coming to its new line of products. Chief among them appears to be a reformulated label that displays the sauce’s ingredients on the front, perhaps to prove to customers that they are “all natural.”
This seems to be the chief rationale behind the change, as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, Don Davide, explains in the release.
“We are committed to using only fresh ingredients and the most authentic slow kettle-cooking process for a true homemade taste, and by announcing this on the front of our new label, we believe our new package allows the consumer to make an informed decision about what they are feeding their families,” he said.
In Food Production Daily, the move was specified as part of the initiative among food companies to make up-front ingredient labels more of a focus. According to that article, candy company Mars has taken part in this movement for the past few years. The official name of this is “Facts Up Front,” and it’s an effort that features nutrition as a major concern.
Whether or not your business decides to follow suit and make this your focus, an industrial labeling system can keep your company ready for any changes.
