Peppermint is to December what pumpkin is to November and October: a flavor with a very distinct cultural association that is inescapable when a certain time of year rolls around. Just as with other seasonal variants, when it’s time for a new additive to be spotlighted, you need to think hard about the way in which you advertise your new flavor and what aspects you could be focusing on.
A recent Huffington Post list chronicles some possible positive health effects that minty additives might bring, from tamping down stomach discomfort to allowing for greater attentiveness. Whether or not your product chooses to lay claim to these benefits or can prove that they really exist, the food labels you select might draw from them to make more of an impression on the consumer who will be undoubtedly swamped with red-and-white striped choices this season.
And there’s a difference between types of mint that your audience might not be aware of, as NPR’s Emily Hilliard points out:
“Spearmint generally has a sweeter and more subtle flavor,” she writes. “It’s particularly good paired with tomatoes, providing a sweet, zingy counterbalance to the tomatoes’ acidity.”
Of course, another option you have is the chance to display a special holiday recipes on your product with its own appropriate custom label. This can be one done in font, border and coloring that matches the season, and clearly shows how your product might be part of a festive dish without neglecting the other parts of the process.
Because the holiday colors are important to get right, you can turn to a printer that can help your candy labels be more accurate and informative.
